    Wild idea for wheel arches........Opinion.

I'm kind of reluctant to post about this b/c i'm new to the E30's and BMW in general.

I was in the machine shop getting something signed off and thought about Using different kinds of metals to make the wheel archs. Like Copper, Nickel, or Titanium sheet. Maybe have like aircraft style flush rivets to fasten them to the fenders. Think this could work or would it be impossible to make it not look ghetto?

This has potential to look ghetto as hell. But if you can do it right and make it look good, you could start a new trend. I say go for it. Copper

I chose copper because it weathers to a nice green color.

Of all those i liked the idea of copper the most. Easiest to work with and the oxidized copper has a great look too.

Playing with the idea of having an artist who works with copper emboss the BMW symbol on the front archs and then the german coat of arms (Eagle on Shield) on the rears. Or something like that. Just trying to think of ways of making my soon to be Touring unique as all hell in the states. :)

I dont know if I'd like the bare metal look. But if so, I think a brushed steel would look cool.

Also, maybe something that is painted could look good that has a "rocket bunny" type design to it that rivets on a lot higher than just regular flares. I know they make m3 style, but there is always room for something original.
