I did some online searching and came across these on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/310714205910...84.m1423.l2649
would your brackets cost less? I was hoping for a easily detachable method so I could avoid scraping in parking lots, etc. Kinda like the drifters latched on bumper but hide the latches on the inside so they aren't visible.

Funny you mention that! I haven't mounted it yet. But I do have a thread on the brackets. Have a look! http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=295346Leave a comment:

I'm doing the exact same thing, could you post pictures of your brackets and mounting points once your done? That would help me out a lot.Leave a comment:

What's the going rate for a white boy? And can I write that off on my taxes?Leave a comment:

Finally got to a test fit yesterday. Fits perfectly! Just need to repaint/fab some mounting brackets and good to go!
Hired some white boy to hold it for me. 10/10 recommendedLeave a comment:

It's a direct fit since your convertible is also equipped with diving boards and the same sheetmetal valance.Leave a comment:

Should bolt on with the proper brackets seeing the font ends are virtually identical.Leave a comment:

It should not be a problem, like it was said cut off the tow hooks.
Also to install that ES front valance on your car you will need to have the ES braket as well.
Without it I don't know if it will be possible.Leave a comment:

I would think so. I know you have to cut off the tow hook of a diving board car from 87 and older to get the newer valance to work, so should be a bolt and go item to go from old to new....
Or I could be totally wrong.Leave a comment:

Was wondering if a 1987 325is front valance would fit on a 90 325i convertible (metal bumper) without any major modifications.
