Floorboard Truckliner Paint Advice Needed

My e30 had a water leak inside for a while so I took all of interior out to find the leak. I found some little rust spots and though it would be good to seal the whole floor. I seen on the forum people using Truckliner spray.

What do you guys think? is it a good idea to use it or would you recommend something else? Some people say it really has a bad smell and never goes away.

i had the same problem. Welded new patches where the rust was and used Herculiner. Found it at a hardware store, and applied by brush. The texture is really rough with rubber chunks in it. Smelled really strong for a few weeks, but the smell is now gone and i put carpet over it.

Just make sure you properly undercoat the bottom side of the floor too where the rust was.
