Front lip Clips

so i just installed and painted the new front valance and im trien to put the clips on.. Is it suppost to be EFFING hard as HELL to put on? i cant even get one clip on

I had trouble with getting a few off. I had no problem getting them on. I just used a screwdriver to push the rivet in.

I cant get the accual clip to clip in place..
