What is this called and how do I remove it?

Hey guys I am looking for this part. I do not know what it is called and tried to remove it from another car at pick n pull today for my car but could not figure out how to.

Is it part of the valance? Its a metal piece

Also, I am new to this so I am also wondering what is the plastic piece (that holds the license plate) called? The whole thing. I need to get it replaced on my car

That's part of the whole front valence panel. I can't remember how many screws/bolts hold it on, but you're going to have to remove the front bumper. Once you get the bumper off you should be able to see how it is mounted.

If you are doing a bumper swap, you can find just that part, separate on some early cars.

I have a 1991 e30 that looks like the one in the first picture i posted. It was in a small fender bender by the previous owner so I am looking to replace a few parts. The car came stock stock with plastic white bumpers.

I'd need an entire valance still right? How much do they usually go for, and how much are the bumpers?

Edit: For later models, are all valance pieces connected and unremovable? If so I would still need an entire valance even though the earlier models were removable since my later model is a 1 piece?

The valance is held on by the screws, circles in red on the photo.
