Throttle Body Paint

Just wondering if anyone has painted their throttle body? I'm not sure how to go about this, is it alright to leave it assembled and paint, or must I take it completely apart?

It's for an M42, just painted my valve cover and intake, but the throttle body stands out like a sore thumb.

If anyone has done this, help is appreciated.

the only problems i can see is getting paint on the springs on the side of the throttle body. I dont know if that will cause sticking issues or not. Other than that as long as all of the ports are masked off should not be a problem. I'm thinking of doing the same thing

Ya, my question as well - can the springs get paint on them...
