alpine white 2 paint codes?

So I read online and I guess alpine white 2 is color code 218 but I went to dun Edwards(paint shop) and the dude said theres different color codes for that color my cars a 92 so I'm trying to figure out which one is the correct code before I start repainting the mtech

Early model alpineweiss1 should be #146, alpineweiss2 late model #218, and e36 alpinewiess3 #300. ill confirm in the morning on my 91 weiss 318is.
