Late bumper swap fitment issue

Hello!

I am doing a bumper swap on my vert e30 , the front valance is installed.
I cant get to fit the front bumper without gap on top of it or under.

Both part doesnt come from the same car. Is there smaller bumper or they r all the same and the gap is normal?

do you have a pic of the gap on top?? Are u using plastic bumper shocks??

There should be a slight gap at the top and bottom to allow the bumper shocks to compress without scraping and damaging the paint.
