    Front End

Hey guys I hate to start a new thread about a basic question like this but it isnt clear to me when it comes to installing bumpers on an e30. This is my first e30 and ive done my part in researching but I still don't have a definite answer to questions.

Im looking to upgrade my front bumper and from what I read it seems that installing a front bumper is more difficult on a convertible? I have an 89 convertible, at least that's what I was told when I bought it, and im looking to install either one of these bumpers.

both of your links are for aprons which is the section that sits below the bumpers. secondly both of those links' descriptions say they are meant for euro bumpers which you don't have. lastly, i know nothing about dtm fiberwerkz but I do know that most of those fiberglass knock offs have fitment issues.

what bumpers are you trying to swap to?
option 1. diving boards or USDM metal bumpers. (this is what you have)
option 2. plastic bumpers for late models.
    option 3. euro bumpers.

Thanks for the reply. Honestly im just looking to swap out my front end so I have something that looks like this. Not necessarily this front end but something similar to it.

Sorry for the lack of knowledge on these cars. Replacing exterior parts on these cars seems different than other bmw models that ive owned

So basically I should search for something that will fit metal bumpers?

You don't have to only stick to metal bumper options like the es valence. You could get a 1 piece style bumper like http://dtmfiberwerkz.com/access/spor...mper-p-39.html and make some custom brackets to hold it. This would be the cheapest way to achieve a look like the picture you posted.
