    Factory primer

Repaired parts on my car with oem sheet metal that has the black primer on it. My question is can I use that primer? The whole car is on bare metal right now could I just leave those and re primer them with the primer I put on the rest of the car. Also to blondo should I do it before or after primer

I would not say you need to remove it but you should sand it reprime it, and try not to go through anywhere. Use 400 or 500 grit. Do not bondo on top of any paint/primer, only use body filler on bare metal. You can get a 2 part glazing putty on top of paint but it should only be 1/16th of an inch in thickness. Also do not buy the 1 part bondo brand shit they sell at walmart, heard bad things about it not drying, and at tech they said never use it.

For sure. If I got some bondo work to do on the new panels like where it's welded to the body should I strip the primer down a little so Ivan get all bare metal to apply bondo

Yes! unless using epoxy primer, and even then you scuff it with coarse sandpaper. Scuff bare metal with 36 grit to give it something good to bite to. Shape the filler with 80 grit, sometimes you make even use something with less grit but 80 won't leave super deep scratches. Finish filler in 180-220 grit. Prime just the area that has been filled for the first coats, block, prime again. Look into ring out and it will explain it.
