Is there a Duplicolor equivalent to Diamant Schwarz Metallic?
I need one of those little bottles of touch up paint to fill in some scratches & chips
I have a spray can of Duplicolor BGM0522 Storm Gray Metallic. It looked pretty close going by the cap color, but when I sprayed some into a little container and used a 000 brush to put it in the scratches, it was too light colored.

Has anyone found a Duplicolor or similar paint from someplace like O'Reillys that is a good match?

The BMW color is #181/9 Diamantschwarz-Metallic (I'm guessing everyone knows that) It used to be BMW part number 51911930070.

I saw some people on eBay selling some sort of touch up kits, but it looks like the match could be a bit sketchy.

What did it end up costing for all of that (that's a pretty comprehensive kit)
I'll have a better look at their website at lunch today.
How was the paint pen? Easy to use for scratches?

$77.43 shipped. I like using the pen over the small bottle with a brush. The pen has a chisel tip, that allows more precise applications. If you really feel the need to use a brush in some areas I just spray a small pool of paint from the spray can onto a piece of card board and use a small artists brush. I had some rust repair that I also need spray can paint for.

However, if you have mostly rock chips you might want to think about using this: http://www.drcolorchip.com/

Used it on rock chips on my Boxster and it was a perfect match and easy to use!

Thanks. I ended up going with this:

Because for the price it includes 1/2 oz bottles of color and clear coat.
Since it's a deep scratch, it is going to be very narrow, so if color match
is off just a hair, it might not be obvious (OTOH, narrow might make it more definite, we'll see).
But I really do appreciate the information! I'm not ignoring your suggestion, I'm just trying to
keep it cheap for now because I might sell or repaint the car (the clearcoat is shot on my roof and hood)
