ix Flares Removable?

Do IX cars have to run the fender flares due to wheel spacing and track width concerns, or can I remove them?

No they are there to characterize the IX from other E30's and to (possibly) keep the snow and rain off the car. Why do you want to remove them? They look sweet

In my experience, fender flares now = wheel arch rust later. I've never been a fan of cladding that can hold water next to the vehicle.
