My car is a bronzit. I have a red is spoiler I got from the junkyard. Do I have to completely sand off the red paint or can I just sand/scuff the red paint and apply satin black to it?

Sand, scuff, and wetsand with 1200-1400 grit sandpaper but red can still be present. Make it smooth, i mean smooth. then paint whatever you want, but don't go crazy with colors. satin black is nice but I'm not sure how it'll go with your bronzit.

I think the black would go nicely.
Previous owner went Gung ho and painted everything glossy black (I'm fixing it. I got all original chrome pieces and db)Comment
