Question about IS front lip

Is this an 'I' valence? Or does the IS lip attach to the bottom of this the same as the black plastic strip? I just keep finding pics of the metal bumpered ISs with one peice valence.

The valances are the same for the "i" and "iS" in plastic bumpered cars.

My car in my sig is an "i", but has the "iS" lip.
