Respray Taillights - To Adhesion Promote or Not

    Hey R3V,

I'm looking at refinishing my tail lights and have seen 101 different ways to do it. Some people use an adhesion promoter. Some don't.

I'm just wondering if anyone could offer some professional insight to pros and cons, or maybe when you would need to and when you wouldn't.

    Thanks as always,
    - C

has anyone tried running black pinstripes/tape along he horizontal grooves in the e30 tail light assemblies? I think it would look pretty damn cool

I used nightshades red and the tint on my E34 with rustoleum clear over the top. They turned out great, but now after about 2 years, the red has kind of gone away and the tint has lighted a lot.

Here they are when I first did them.

And here is today, albeit dirty.

You can see how the amber is showing through more now.
