so I am looking for advice on the best way to refurb these or do I just buy new ones (where?)

here is a pic. looking for the side piece and the top plastic piece on the rear end of the bumper. the middle plastic piece on the rear seems to be holding up ok

    thanks

I'm in the same boat. Some people just paint over them with trim paint (doesn't fix the roughness), some sand them and repaint, I was thinking of trying filler primer and trim paint...after that, it's new ones.

yeah, I almost don't want it to have the "painted" look. seen it on a lot of the older e30's and I think it looks off to me... if new ones are the way to go where is the best place to get those?

BMW is prob. the only place to get them if they even have them.

Scrap yard ones are not going to be much better. Just sand and trim paint. Or if your lazy just plasti dip them.

Maybe try texture paint and, then the trim paint over that? I remember the heat textured paint, seems to have the finish you're looking for.

No need to sand if you plasti dip. If your going to sand use trim paint.
