Am i the only one who sees the floor support pushed in on the battery side? Im not saying its a write off but that thing is gonna have to have metal pulled out on a frame machine. Youre 100% looking at 2gs plus in damages. You might have a fight on your hand with the ins co.

I just went through this with my moms 2004 Volvo v70. Rear ended by a nissan suv. First glance it looked like just the bumped was damaged. 1000 bucks tops. When we took it to the shop and they looked at it closer the entire rear section shifted forward. 7000+ damage estimate and thats whey they stopped as it exceeded the cars value.

Two months of fighting and a diff shop fixed it as the ins wanted to write it off but the car my mom didnt want to. I personally know the guy and watched him put it on the frame machine and fight with it for 2 weeks. He now hates Volvo steel. Lol

110% fixable. my cars got worse damage (Similar hit, but more to the passenger side)and my body guy said it could be done. Dont total her out!

Fixable, absolutely. But insurance will probably want the write off. No offense, but that car wasn't a "Very good condition" car and the insurance company will be very hard on that point. Several panels will need replacing. Several NLA panels...

Be prepared for a fight. Save that 'ol girl!

No damage to the rear quarters. just the bumper is pushed forward.

After those pics, the rear panel, and possibly the trunk floor. Depending on how much work that little bit of framerail is going to be. Bonus is the rear panel also has the valence on it.
It very well might come in under 6k. Fingers crossed for ya!

Pretty damn sure given the ridiciolsly high value of these cars these days, you will get cashed out for around $4-5k and still not get totaled.

So the insurance claim adjuster just looked at my car and put the repair cost at 2500 and left a little more room if they need to cut the rear section off and replace it.

So just got my car back. The shop did a great job and fixed the rust as well all under my insurance claim. A tip for any one who is looking for a repair shop. Look for one that does restorations they know how to work with metal. I knew this shop was good when I walked in there was nothing but Shelby cobras everywhere.
