Hi all
I am doing a bumper swap for my early model E30. The donor car is a 1993 E30 convertible - surprisingly with the plastic bumper front and rear. The issue I have is to remove the rear bumper shock absorbers and hopefully rear valance/bumper cover. I know that each shock absorbers are bolted into the body frame. The bolt heads exposed are flat and circular and there is no way to unscrew it from the outside. So I'm pretty sure there are two nuts for each bumper under the trunk. Is anyone here know where I can the access to remove the nuts? I have lifted the trunk mat, and there is a steel trunk bed panel in the way.
Also, I am trying to remove the rear valance/bumper cover from the donor car. Is the rear valance or bumper cover a part of the body that need to be cut?
Thanks in advance for your input!
