    Roof Bodywork - First timer

    Background:
This is my Spec E30 race car that I've skinned the sunroof on and had someone weld it in place. The problem is that when it was welded, the sheet metal shrinks and gets deformed. I've got a hammer and dolly and have tried heating it with a blow torch and trying to stretch it, but I'd like to get some tips/advice on how I can make this look a little better. It's somewhat hard to tell but there's a dip in the middle and various other low points, mostly around the welds.

I put seam sealer on the cracks just to keep the water out and painted it with POR-15 to prevent any further rust.

Doesn't need to be perfect but I'd like it to be a little nicer, perfect opportunity to learn!

Heating with a torch and letting it cool will shrink the metal, not stretch it. Hammering on it will stretch it as the hammering thins the metal, spreading it out so to speak.

Check or YouTube for how to videos. Lots of great info there.

I was heating, then using a jack with some wood to push on it from underneath.

      I'll stick to hammering, thanks!
