    Early model Lip

I just picked up a lip for my 84 318i and had some questions about mounting it. It doesn't have the cutouts for the "oil cooler" ducts so i think its a lip for an "E" model, it has a cutout in the middle with a cross section, can this be mounted on my car or does it have to be the i lip?

That's the wrong lip. That's the other early model lip (86-87) you need the one with the brake ducts in it.

This one is on a euro valance, but it uses the exact same lip as the us model.

This is the lip you currently have and it can have an open middle or closed. But don't fit the 82-85 valance.
