    90i..rear plastic bumper cover removal

    ive searched and searched.....

and I thought it was 2 torx bolts to remove bumper cover..but now it seems that is how to remove the whole unit

just now, I see the cover is fastened to the the core as well?..w/ plastic expanding rivets?

I was hoping I could get cover off WITHOUT removing impact trim first...and w/o removing core.

I know this is oooold shit..but I need some truth..lol

    just saw this:

does 2 fasten cover to 7?

Yes, lots of #2's hold the skin to the reinforcement. You have to take the trim off to get to them.

every1 says taking off trim is very difficult from front side of bumper..

so can the trim be removed from back side w/ bumper off , even tho core is still attached?

The rub strip (15, with [2] #16s) can be removed with the bumper on the car, or removing the (2) #11s allows for the whole assembly to be removed with the setup all together.

#15 comes off first if you are trying to separate #1 & #7. Removing #15 & the #16s is nerve wracking if you are trying to preserve them.
