Has anyone removed the textured paint on their car and then repainted it so it has a smooth finish? Any problems with it chipping paint a lot easier? Any other comments?

the texture is stone gard. and yes you will chip eaiser with out it. I am actually leaning toward avus blue... painting it in feb.. I want the centers of the wheels black, but we'll see about that. It's coming along...Recent Rebranding!!
