Shady or not shady?

Hi guys,

i d like to know what you guys think. i am considering buying this euro e30, but havent seen the car in person yet. all info i have so far comes from some pictures and chatting with the owner. the owner claims the vehicle is accident free and has not been repainted. However, i m a little suspicious..... i m familiar with e30s, but cant call myself an expert and that s why i m looking fwd to hear your opinions; if you look at the engine bay , arent those 2 round "pillars", where strut bars are mounted, supposed to be painted the same color of the car? in this case red instead of black or does anyone know if some models just came from factory looking like that?

Those strut towers don't look like any e30 I've ever seen. Shouldn't they be closer to the firewall/bulkhead, and laid back a bit. I've never seen a euro e30 but i would think that the chassis is the same worldwide. SHADY until someone tells me i'm wrong.

That is an ix. The paint looks pretty new. It's also missing the rubber strips that run along either sides of the front of the car which seal with the hood. On my car the engine compartment is the same color as the car

thks guys for the inputs!! it is in fact an ix, but i just thought every e30 would come with strut towers painted the same color as the car no matter of the model, just like your car. looks like the owner is not being completely honest!

all E30s come with body-color engine bays from the factory.
