I am looking at a 1986 BMW 7-Series for a possible project. It's an L7, which is what I want, so it's a bit hard to just say "Find the next one."
That said, I'm hoping those of you familiar with rust repair can look at the photos below and give me your opinions as to whether the subframe is in too close of proximity to the affected areas for comfort. In other words, is this car going to possibly have structural issues down the road (if not already) once my body shop gets into rust repair.
Hope I explained this correctly. Let me know if anything needs clarification. The rust appears on front of the rear wheel on the driver's side, down near where the bottom of the fender connects to the sill.
