    Painting Steel Wheels

    Hey everyone,

I am looking to rattle can some winter steelies on the GF's car.

Does anyone know where to get silly colors? Duplicolor, VHT, Eastwood etc. all carry standard colors only. They are snows so I hope to find something that will hold up at least a season but I'll be happy if they last that long.

She wants something like an aquamarine. Who makes it?

What have people done? I have a compressor / spray gun but don't want to spend the dough or time to do a good job. It's mostly a joke. I did a set of iX wheels a few years back and all said and done I think I was in over $200 and many many hours of blasting/prepping/drying etc.

It looks like I could get a low quality paint and use Eastwoods 2K clear but at $16 a can it will add up quick.

    Thanks!

Seriously. No need for "wheel paint". I sprayed a set of wheels on my Mk2 Jetta florescent orange and then later grabber green, all with normal paint. They held up great.
