E30 going in for paint...Color Suggestions?

okay, so my lachissilber 88 325is is going into the body shop for a full respray, including door jams. I dont want the OEM metallic color, looking for a solid smoke grey of sorts. anybody know of an oem bmw color that was solid grey WITHOUT any metallic? all suggestions welcome. thanks

e39s had a color grey w/out metallic, but imho the metallic will look better. W/out the metallic its almost more of a gunmetal dull grey.

i will have to look up that e39 color. i have gone through a PPG color chart for 2003 BMW's, but all the colors were metallic.metallic just doesnt do anything for me, hence to search for a flat color...

diamond Schwarz. Doesnt look that metalic and shows either light or dark in the shade and sun.
Or you could always go with Safari Beige. im sure they have a can of that left from the E21s somewhere

Come on Cary, metalics are so cool. I recommend Graphite metalic. looks pimp. Or delphin if you want my paint color, but that's also a metalic.

I don't know of any nice non metallic greys.

i went with Sterling Grey Metallic...its OEM for e46 and e39 BMW's...after they shot car i looked at it and was like, "oh, looks almost the same as Lachs..." then shrugged and decided it was for the best since the engine bay/interior wasnt being sprayed.

paint is done. now i just have to get my buddy to have his guys put it back together. this is the downside of getting "hookups"...ppl like to take their sweet ass time finishing up.

Luckily for me, i got my datsun running while the e30 is in the shop, otherwise i would be without wheels.

Pics will come as soon as i get it back, imma call up Kev since hes like 20min from me and get a photo-shoot.

$1200. that price is just for me though, im a friend of the family that owns the body shop. should have been more like $2500.
