A friend of my brother's recently found a genuine rear spoiler in his garage. BMW stamped and all. This thing is from Germany for sure. But the paint is rough and I would still need to get it painted alpine. He's asking 300, the only ones I can find online are 150-200 but "Genuine BMW" remakes from ecs and the likes. What would you guys pay for the rarity tax since this can't even be made anymore.

I don't believe it is. As far as I can tell the extra value comes from the fact that this particular one was discontinued in 87 I believe. I chatted with a local Bavarian recycler and he said 300 was alright given the condition. He also mentioned that he'd seen them go for 400+ with good paint.
