    1988 325 ( super ETA )

    New guy here. Awesome site.
Just got a 1988 325 and I would like to know my options for replacing the front and rear bumpers. I am not a fan of the tuck and I like the plastic bumpers.

I am not seeing any OEM used ones for sale and I would like to know what aftermarket options are there and is it easier on an 88 e30 for a direct swap from diving board to plastic bumpers/ or some aftermarket kit.

In time I plan to repaint but want all the bumper work to be done prior.

the 88 is a direct swap for bumpers front and back. honestly your best bet would be to constantly check craigslist as they do come up. personally i wouldn't recommend aftermarket options.

Nice score on the super eta!! You should swap over the I bits and you'd yourself a sweet little stroker.

          thanks Dude!
I am currently in the process of acquiring parts for that swap in the next few years.
I want to enjoy it first for what it is and the low revs and high torque etc.. so that i can compare it to what it will become.

I read a few days ago that doing this swap may decrease the lifespan of the motor? this caused me to pause for a bit and try to research more. I want to keep this car for a loooong time. Its completely stock and clean with no rust at all.

Caught between the stroker bug and the need to preserve it.

if you do it right there should be no change in the longevity of the motor. 12v's are robust engines!
