1989 325is... black car with unpainted black front spoiler (below valance)

My E30 is black. I've had the front spoiler below my front valance for a short time now, secured and all. When I bought the spoiler on ebay, it was unpainted so it arrived in a flat black color. Since my car is black, I figured that it would be okay without painting it. Now, I'm starting to wonder if it's worth taking off and painting so it matches the rest of my car. It'll be a major hassle as I've got a bunch of zip ties holden it to the valance, plus the local shop will charge close to $50 for this simple job (I have no paint experience myself). Is it worth it?

Cutting some zip ties and paying $50 to have it painted doesn't sound like a big hassle to me.

Amen! Plus you can do it right this time, you know, without the zip ties.....

You are getting one hell of a deal to get a front spoiler painted for 50 bucks. Considering the cost that I would pay for paint. I would probably paint it with SEM or Dupont Trim/Satin Black.
