The owner says this is from an early model iS. Can one of you experts confirm that? Would it fit on a 4/87 car with DBs? Any insight is much appreciated!

It is from an 87 IS. From my understanding, it only came on that year IS, the ES has a similar airdam but is lacking the middle lowest two holes. It will fit your diving board car, but the mounting hardware is required unless you can fabricate something to hold it in place. Many of the mounting parts are NLA.
You da man, Scott!! I've been eyeing this kit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/152290512087?rmvSB=true and keeping an eye out for the metal part or asking someone to measure theirs so I can make one.

^ Those brackets from Chuck are currently the best out there.
Dude, thanks for boosting my confidence to order $169 ebay aftermarket parts, I hadn't been able to find any remarks on them prior. Also thanks for the fastidious thread move ;)
