    What to do with dent?

Well as some of you already know, my lip was ripped off cuz of a cone on the freeway. With that said, my valance got a good dent near the fog light.

What to do about the dent? repair? replace?

Hammer and dolly would straghten that right up.

Skilled PDR guys can work wonders. I wish I had a picture of the rear hatch we did yesterday... was amazing.

      Or replace it...

Hard to find a used one that isn't mangled, and new ones cost a fortune IIRC. Definately fixable. Probably $150-200 to fix before paint. Pull it off yourself to save some bucks.

                    Diy!

$300 sounds right. The "is" lip is $160.
Aftermarket is $160 for valance. Should be available locally.

Normally I wouldn't go after market but a valance panel is pretty much out of sight as far as critical fit goes. It says 91-93 convertible only but the BMW part number is the same for all E30's with plastic bumpers.
You ought to try starightening it yourself.

you will also need to rechip/stone guard it if you strip off the paint etc to fix the dent the right way.

I'd say find a clean used one, have it painted and slap it on.

C'moooooon, Pickapart. I'm probably going to go this route, hopefully I get lucky this weekend. I think it's actually a good thing that this happened, it gives me a reason to work on my car, heh. At least I'll have some fun while I'm at it.
