    sunroof replacement

So, my sunroof dosen't work, and the panel is rusted pretty bad, I would like to replace the whole thing. I currently have an '89 325i with the crank. (Which is pretty weird, right?.)
How hard would it be to replace it with a sunroof assembly designed for the motor and switch? Would the new one work with the crank, (I think this would be ideal), or how hard would it be to retrofit a switch? (Where is the switch in those cars anyways.?) Thanks for the help!
