Nevermind, I would have to shorten the valance then too right ? I hate this.
the bumper and valance are 1 piece, in other words, the bumper it's an integrated part of it., and yes, you would have to do same as to a plastic bumper. lot's of pain.

for that much trouble / body work labor time., you may as well get one of those early style fiberglass mt2 copies, as seen on auctions. massage it until is wave free and you're set.

another option would be a racing Dynamics rear apron, i used a diving board unit and screwed to to a plastic bumper., not too dad ...

in your case, color match chrome bumper, tuck it in then add rear RD apron $ 324 i think.

for late style cars, and all cabrios, it's a 1 piece, bumper/apron combo.
same as on my Delphi iC but with US side markers.

    part # 51122250419 / $ 898.38 as listed on www.realoem.com

if you want something for your 84 318i, then i sell you this RED fiberglass rear apron/bumper combo thing, looks like it was molded over a euro bumper.
It has euro mounting brackets on it, so, it's ready to go., no mods required.

no I cancelled my order, They could not get me the sideskirts or install set. I knew it was to good to be true. But I do know one guy that can get them. But Ive diceided to stick with my original bumpers, I will just detexture them and spary them.
But if you want Mtech stuff try www.mtechnicparts.com, this guy had a brand new mtech 2 kit foro $2500 it was tempting but I have already made up my mind. Id rather spend the money on wheels.
