    m-tech 1 full kit price

    Hi there-

I'm beginning to have buyer's remorse, and I need your honest opinions...all prices are in USD

I spent 850 on a used m-tech 1 kit that did not include fog lights or mounting hardware; additionally, I spent 1200 on a set of brand new m-tech specific euro bumpers with the m-tech specific fog lights and mounting hardware for the bumpers and the kit (all from Bavauto). So, I'm looking at $2050 total spent on this kit, and I'm feeling like I spent too much money. Do you guys think that the perfect condition chrome and m-tech specific rubber justifies spending 950 on the bumpers, or should I have settled for used bumpers for a lot less money? Also, do you think I spent too much on the body parts (850) or does that seem reasonable (they need to be repainted, and a tiny bit of bondo to fill in little dings, but other than that they are in good condition).
I was told that I could get a full kit for 1200-1500 USD including the bumpers and the mounting hardware in mint condition...does this seem like a reasonable price?

Boils down to supply and demand, or just who you know. I have seen kits sell cheap, get used for a bit and then get flipped so you honestly might be able to make money off of it.

They are not common by any standards here so regardless of how many photos you see here, it's not like you will see on your block.

$500 extra for new actually seems like a pretty good deal.

Keep all of your reciepts safe. Make sure your insurance company knows what you have done.

If this is the thing you want most, go for it. You only live once!

BTW...the speaker wire I want for my home is about $1200...for 2) 3 meter sets. The turntable I want is about $3000 with cartridge. The amp I want is over $2000 as a kit!

Your car is now at a stage where it will continue to rise in value. New rare bits will only help.

We are talking about used NLA parts that are becoming more rare every day.

I paid IIRC 1200 bucks for new bumpers, mounting hardware, and used front rear valances, skirts, and rear wing. However it then took over 20+ hours of work to make them new again (figure 75 bucks an hour for that) plus paint/materials.

They are 100% perfect now, but overall it probably cost me around 3500 - 4000 to make them that way.

And I can certify first hand that this is probably THE BEST M-Tech I kit you will ever see in person.

you won't even notice the difference between that and $100 wiring. you could probably have the most intricate testing measures and would notice no difference. the human ear cannot tell the difference all that stuff is a gimick sold to audiophiles in an effort to convince them it really is better.

Buy nigel a turbo kit for that much!! ;)
