I'm lovin' even more now. Sandded the chrome with 120 grit paper, applied about 3 coats. Paper comes off the passenger side tomorrow, cross you fingers. -
I pick up my cans at the local PPG dealer. Only place I know that has SEM brandLeave a comment:

You can generally only get SEM products at professional automotive paint stores.
I just painted those wiper arm/vent covers for my car, too. Mine were about the color of concrete, they were so faded.Leave a comment:

I put my kidneys on and I love the black/red look. I had to put on about 5 coats of paint so don't rush. I haven't found a store that carries SEM paint products. I just purchased them online and had them in 3 days.Leave a comment:

Probally will, I did put on a few coats, especially the grills and kidneys (since they will be taking most of the abuse. I guess I'll learn from my mistakes and do it better next time.Leave a comment:

I just hope that after a couple of months that it won't start chipping because I have a strong feeling that it willLeave a comment:

Yea I know I didn't prep it perfectly, I did wash all the pieces tho. I'm just having a little fun and doing it how I want to. Nothing will be perfect, but then again my car isn't perfect. All I know is it is way better then at faded plastic barf.
What store carries SEM, I will get that next time I paint.Leave a comment:

Looks good man.
I used the same paint on my grilles, vents and bumper surrounds.
I love how it came out, so much better than faded plastic.Leave a comment:

I love trim paint.
Well bought some trim paint the other day since I had 2 extra kidneys lying around so I thought I would blakc one of them. Well it turn out I've went trim paint crazy.
I have lots of misc pieces from my parts car that I can paint and put on my car.
BTW I used Duplicolor trim paint, people seem to like SEM better, but they didn't have any at Advance Auto, the Dupli looked like it turned out fine.
