    E30 on the table

Next week my car is headed to the table where it will be made sure it is in specs. If it is out, they will put into specs. The PO was rear ended, or rear ended a curb because the spare tire tub was bent, and I can see where some one beat it back out. It does not look that bad, but there is also a small crease in both rear quarters in front of the wheel well. The roof and c pillars look fine.

When I took off the rear door panel (or where there would be a door on a four door) I could see it pretty good, but could not pop them out. So it is headed - i know the shop owner, so he is cutting me a deal. Just setting up the table takes some time however. I will let you know the outcome. :) After is is back into specs I am pulling out the small dents with a pin welder.

Has anyone else had this issue?

How much is it costing you, if I might ask?

100 beans. It is not nearly as bad as you might think. I would like to do it to the car anyway before I start modding it - just to be sure I am all in specs.

I am good. I am shocked. I would have assumed that it was tweaked. I knew the dimples were small, but I just figured, you know?

Back on the table. I found some more damage after I took the bumpers off that were mint. So It looks like whomever backed into the curb pintched the rear causing a small crease.

The body folks seem to think it is no big deal, and I am putting it on the frame table this week because I want to be sure it is tight. I will get some pics.

Its probably just cosmetic damage. You have to get hit pretty hard usually for frame damage.

Nice, I wonder how much something like this costs to just check the car out, no pulling or banging needed.

                          ***Update***
Josh, the damage in the rear is a bit more extensive than previously thought. There are two seams in the trunk by the wheel wells that are split apart, at least a half an inch on one side, the other wasn't too bad (which explains all the water in the trunk :)) got them temporarily patched up. they were hard to see even when looking right at them due to the location. The body shop you took it to told you it was in spec but I'm not sure i can agree with that. The rear-end of the car is pretty tweaked. If you take a measurement from the inside of the wheel well to the tire, the spacing is off my a pretty good amount from one side to the other. I found this out after the guys at my local shop pointed it out to me. I forget the exact numbers but it's a difference of over and inch from one side to the other. Not a big deal, I'll be sending it off the frame machine soon (I hope) body work and paint to follow. Just thought you might be interested in some of my recent findings. Otherwise, LOVIN' the car. Lots of fun to drive!! Enjoying it very much! 8)
