    Early IS Airdam mount?

Hey kids...anyone out there ever do anything different to mount their early "is" Airdam? I am thinking about bracing the underside of the top lip with 1/8" aluminum and simply screwing it to the bumper, then mounting the ends to the valence with stainless button head allen screws and nuts.

I know the stock mounts are meant to break away, but it seems they do that just a bit too easily.

My brother has had his repaired but a buddy and they made L brackets and screwed them into the bumper. The only thing is make sure you use a strong enough metal because his after two years are starting to sag.

I've heard of several people bolting the airdam to the underside of the bumper, I was going to do it myself. It will definitely eliminate the sag that tends to plague that airdam.

Mine was already bolted to the bottom of da bumpah. It is sagging right where the mounts are, so I want something at least 3 orders of magnitude better. I fugure a strip of aluminum the entire length should do it...

thats how mines is there, i used the bar from the stock mounting to distribute the force more evenly, 5 bolts through the bumper and the bar, as well as the two side mounts
