      Some more pics lastest update

Yeah, the stripe is going to go across the fender. Here are some halfway assembled pics, only so I can measure up my fender (not even polished yet), so I know where to cast my stripes down.

As you can see from my fender, i'm shaving my side moldings

Wow! I take back anything negative I might have said about this project. it looks great!

How many hours do you have into the hood/trunk alone?

Do you expect this to last just as long as any other paint job? I am not saying that in a negitive way i am just wondering how strong the paint will be?

rustoleum is tough isht. it will last longer than a standard base/clear paintjob. It might fade after a while, but you can just polish it right back up.

Rustoleum is what I use on my landscaping stuff.....like the truck beds that see rock and gravel dumped in it almost daily.....its VERY tough paint. Rustoleum is like a rock when it dries. Very good adhesion properties, too.

                        Couple things:

You're right, it is a minor dent that i may have overlooked. Fuck...

Hours on the hood trunk alone: with bodywork/paint/polish/waxing: maybe about 15 hours total of nonsto work. Obviously i coldn't do nonstop though

I hear rustoleum is tough shit.. but if it does fade over time, i have enough coats to just polish it up again. It will get rid of any swirl marks and it will look like new again. I put extra coats on the front of the car for stone chips, but i doubt that it will protect it that much better.

my god. dood, this project is turning out sick. I barely finished my trunk, and I barely finished prepping my hood. I wish I had enough time to work on her. when i finish...we'll be one of the few with roller painted e30s. hahah. did u buff ur hood, trunk and fenders yet?

How long does the paint take to dry after each coat?
