is there a difference in delphin greys?

im trying to find a fender for my car and i got a delphin grey fender but it really doesnt match my car the fender i picked up has a greenish tint to it but my car is a bit lighter. my car is a 89 325i and its delphin grey, it says it on the strut tower but the fender i got doesnt really match? is there a difference in the older delphin grey and the 89s and up? is there a difference paint code?

No, there is only one delphin but they can look differently due to them fading differently. One of the fenders on my car is from a different car and you can notice the color difference under the right lighting.

Not likely. You can't expect used parts to match perfect. The color difference between my fresh paint on my delphin car and the original paint was AMAZING. (In a good way)

blue metallic is one of the hardest colors to match with NEW paint -- much less old sunfaded and weathered paint

Try a paint cleaner and some polishing, maybe it'll make it match better.

I really love that I bought a full gallon of paint for my car (painted complete). I have had plently of paint for my SKirts, plastic bumper conversion and mtech1 spoiler.. and then some. I just paint it and don't have to worry.

early MT1 were very grayish metallic like, then there's a deeper Delphine as on MT2 kits and I seen plenty of Greenish looking ones from US versions of iS as well as plain 325 and 318's.

different between them did not look as if Sun fading had much to do with it.
