    Side Skirts

    Dumb question:

I got a 4 door 1986 325e, now i cannot seem to find a body kit for it, only the two door version. Will the 2 door side skirts fit the 4 door? Now my guess on this is no, but i just want to make sure.

they interchange. a 4-door body is the same length as a 2-door model.

It depends on what brand skirts you're looking at. Some have a lip that tucks into the door sill that you would have to modify to fit a 4-door.

Nope, the rocker panels are deeper on cabrios than on coupes or sedans but I'm refering to the actual door sill. On a coupe you have one long sill and on a sedan you'll have to seperate sills divided by the B pillar. Some types of sideskirts have a tab that will mount attach to that sill.

i'll be the first to recommend NOT getting any fiberglass kit crap.

I learned the hard way - many of those kits come to your door looking more like scraps of fiberglass than honest pieces one can attach to a car.

"Professional installation recommended" actually means that a professional will charge you 8 times purchase price of those pieces to get them installed properly.

If you're dead-set on getting one of those fiberglass kits - at least ask if they "come with mounting hardware" - if they don't - DO NOT buy it.

Unfortunately the market for cosmetic aftermarket e30 body parts is limited - many manufacturing no longer make certain pieces - and there is crap out there that i'd hate to see anyone regret purchasing.

I've actually delt with those guys via ebay, and not only did I wait a month and a half to get my stuff but it was complete shit when it got here. I have some BMP skirts that are very high quality, so I'd imagine the rest of their kit would follow suit, check it out. Bavarian Autosport is starting to carry more and more options and while never the cheapest their stuff is rarely shit. Also check out Abrahams Motorsport for some nice goodies like the reiger lip (my car has one in my sig.) Good luck with everything, do not hesitate to ask us if you have more questions!

                      Cheers,
                      Brendan
