Mounting an e28 "mech-1" rear spoiler?

Anyone who has done this? Just wanted to see if anyone had some advice before I start mounting this up.

I have one on my car, however, it was there when I bought it. I can try and get some pics this weekend if you'd like. I was planning on taking it off anyways so I could give it a proper detail.

Close up pics of the ends would be very helpful. From the top looking down, and from the side. Also, looking horzontally, eye level with the spoiler to see how if followed the conture of the trunk.

        Thanks man!

I just sat mine on my trunk and eyed it up to where i wanted it. And marked the holes. I had to oblong them to get the spoiler where i wanted it to sit cause i was off when i made my first marks.

did the hole have to be further forward or farther back then the IS holes?

drilled holes in the trunk, more forward and to the left i think

make sure when you bolt ure spoiler down to use nut gaskets and somehow plug ure old holes with something so water doesnt get everywhere. i had a minor water leak in my trunk because of the e28 wing not sitting completely flat with the trunk. i filled the holes using this rubber (not silicone) make-a-gasket stuff inside of a pressurized tube.

heres a tip, when u try lining up ure e28 spoiler, use some of the rubber gasket stuff and put a tiny dab on the tip of the screw protruding from the spoiler to mark you areas of drilling. i did that not very carefully, so i still had to port the holes to get the wing to sit right, but im pretty sure you dont have to drill 5 times in one hole doing it that way.

but i think for the outside holes the structural bracing of the trunk is blocking where you would need to put the nut through. I guess just drill through that too?
