Tell us about your SEM product knowledge and experience.

I hear about this stuff time and time again. Ive been meaning to use it but havent found it until today at one single Sherman Williams automotive place here in Charleston.
One large can of their satin black rock guard (or whatever its called) is $20!
SEM has a wide selection of other products too.
What paint for what application? Are the regular SEM color paints worth the extra buck? (like say titanium silver for headlight rings)

They're pretty proud of their undercoating too, like $8 - $9. Really nice stuff though, dries to a hard coating, rather than staying a gooey tar mess. Worth the bucks, IMO.

There is a trim paint that is considered the absoulte best for shadowline projects, bumper trim, and other misc pieces that aren't painted on the E30.

I need to get some personally.

I use as many SEM products as are applicable for the jobs I do. I haven't had a bad result from any of their stuff, yet.

I used the trim paint on my decklid iS spoiler, looks great, really easy to use. I havnt painted shit, and I did it with no runs or drips.

Are there any other stores that you guys know of that carries SEM? There is no Sherwin Williams near me?
