where exactly did you cut for the rear section?
A new big project.

The rear panel is a replaceable part. Not easily but it is. Hence the seams right under the tail lights. I don't know the details on the process to do this but I can only assume that's the way Mike replaced it.Comment

thanks for the compliments. It took me and a friend a total of about about 40 hours i would guess.- but some (alot) was drinking beer.
I cut it out at the slot of the left side taillight (under it) and on the right side, it was so damaged in that corner(had a ton of bondo from a previous accident), that I cut the rear 1/4 panel inbetween the taillight and the gas cap door.
I repainted the whole right side and the hood and trunk. the left side got no new paint, but i blended it in. only took 1 liter of mixed paint, since all the parts were previously red.
I had all the parts laying around, so it cost me nothing but beer and time. Plus I made another e30 fan out of my buddy- as I gave him the 1986 Vert we got for doing the work.Comment
