    Shadow line.

    How do you do it?

    ROTFLMAO! just kidding!

So I did it today on one side - some chipped off when I was taking my paper off *shit*. So when I went to wet sand it to repaint it, the paint just flaked off.

I sanded the chrome, and even tossed some alcohol (not beer) on before paint. I think I might have to do it again with some adhesion promoter. Oh well...it all came off quicker than anything! haha!

I have seen other threads about buying 318 trim to get 'er done...maybe I will do something like that. I just do not want to keep "redoing" it just to make it look nice all the time. I was even thinking of taking it all off and having it "black chromed".

i used a self etching primer and mine stuck pretty well. you can check it out here. i also sanded it with 100 grit so depending on what grit you used it might not stick as well.

On my kidneys, I sanded the shit out of them, making sure that there were no shiny parts. Hit it with 3 coats of primer to make every thing even and then hit it with 4-5 coats of SEM black trim paint. No problem for the last 8 months

Maybe thats the trick. I will up the grit - not too deep - I do not want it to show though...but I think I will up it a tad! :) Also I am going primer.

100 grit was perfect for me. i ran out and tried using 120 and it was crap but 80 was ok. even if u use 80 you are gunna be puting atleast 2 coats of primer and one of black so you will fill the grooves no problem
