    plastic bumper swap on ic...question

    I have heard when swapping the rear bumpers on a 87 conv from diving boards to plastic you dont have to cut a section out of the rear bumper. I heard this is because the rear end of the conv. is longer(the same as the 88 and newer). i have read countless threads on this but they are all for coupes and 4d's. Does anyone know it this is ture?

    Also if anyone has any interest in an old reiger e46 kit i would love to trade for plastic bumpers haha....maybe throw you a few bucks too

    Yes, that is true. You don't have to cut the bumper. However, you will want to find a rear apron to make the car look better after doing the swap.
