Are bumpers on black E30s diamond schwarz?

I'm getting ready to paint the whole front end of my car (financial restraints are requiring me to paint my car in two halves) I noticed the bumper looks like it is diamond schawrz. It's metalic for sure. Anyone know the code to diamond black or, in you guys' opinion, should I just paint it black like the rest of the car? I think black would look pretty nice. Mostly since the whole rest of the car is black.

I am painting mine all black when I do it!

It was a savings plan when they were thinking up ideas at BMW...or so I have been told. They had a bunch already painted that color.

Yup, Schwarz plastic bumper E30'd had Diamantschwarz bumpers.

I'd say paint it Schwarz to match the car if you're going to be painting.

I agree. The diamond doesn't stand out that much unless you are really looking at it or maybe when it's new. It actually had me thinking, what was BMW's point to that? I'll defintely believe cost cutting had something to do with it....
