    iS side skirts mounting question

Just got a set of OEM iS side skirts. They are headed to the paint shop next week.

Question is , has anyone mounted these themselves or would you recommend the shop do it? Follow up question, is there a template available?

Thanks. Any help would be great.

        mounting sideskirts

I didn't want to drill into my rockers for fear of future rust, so I put one screw into the rear wheel well lip for the long section, drilled a hole at the trailing edge of the front fender(top of rocker area) and inserted the green plastic grommet for the small section(neccessary as this is what holds both pieces up when they slide together) and used the factory squeeze clips on the bottom rocker lip for the long section and then reused the screw at the bottom of the front fender to anchor the short section. I guess you could use double sided tape along the top of the rocker if you needed to.

They dont get screwed to anything. There are little grommets that go into the drilled holes in your rocker. Then there is a male end clip that slides into the skirts, which pushes into the grommet.
I have them, just not mounted yet, as I am a lil hesitant to drill the holes.

Yeah i just dont like holes in a semi rust prone area of our cars. Ive seen few especially in this area (they salt the roads) with cancer in the rockers. I dont know if i like is skirts enough to put holes in the main rocker sections. Aparently it can be done though thanks jam...
