Yeah, I am not sure anyone would have swapped it out. I think it was just missing. I only got the template, longer brake ducts, and the spoiler itself in that box. All the other hardware was with the other boxes *front bumper, and rear valance*
Looks like I will call Andy tomorrow.Leave a comment:

hmm..i don't think i have those items in the packaging of my new spoiler.....when i bought my new front spoiler,it came with all the mounting hardware that was also present on my white m tech vert i parted-i never seen the winged nut and the metal piece in any of the kits or m tech II cars that ive owned/parted.
that's kinda interesting, you think maybe someone took parts off your box or swapped items before shipping it to you?
i should also take pics of my box and all it's contents so we can compare....
do you even have the template by chance?Leave a comment:

I guess I need 7 of these 51712239711.
I need 2 of these 51711933719
I need 2 of these 51711922599
Maybe 2 of these 16131176747 (unless that is the wacky white thing I posted above.)
And 2 of these 51712238866 for shits and grins, because I do not remember seeing these at all.Leave a comment:

vr4boy, you have helped me out tremendously. I do now realize that I sure as heck do not have those plastic clips that attach to the valance like the ones you have. I have some metal ones, and maybe they are a substitute. interesting. I also do not have the rubber gaskets - ah, not a huge deal I am sure. Maybe Bav can get me some...
I do know at least where to drill in the valance now! ;) haha! SWEET car BTW!Leave a comment:

Pics would be more than fantastic! I am still confused on the top clips. I see the bottom locations, and all the push pins that go in there I do have.
I am truly missing some items though - the rubber gasket, and the nuts/bolts. I have washers, and all those little metal clips, and some small plastic "nubs". but I have not idea how they should be mounted. they are not your standard clips that a bolt goes though for the top that I would have expected either.
The rear and bumper went on super sweet!Leave a comment:

try to help here....the spoiler/air dam mounts via clips(#3) that are actually mounted on your valence.(i think seven of these?)
the nuts and bolts(set #2) is used to attach the outer sides of the airdam to the portion of the valence where the bottom of the front fender meets.
#9/10 are wheather strips/rubber gaskets that are mounted on the top and bottom air vents for the oil cooler-it prevents contact/rubbing b/n the spoiler and the metal valence.
i saw pics of your pkg and it should have all those parts and a template on where to drill holes for #3 clips to mount on the middle ledge of your valence reason i know-i also have an unopened brand new front spoiler:-)
Beleive it or not the bottom spoiler is not mounted to the bumper at all-it's designed to stay intact or in place when the bumper gets pushed in like in a 5-10 mph impact.
it's basically mounted to the valence via clip #3,set #2 and not seen on the diagram :4 or 5 mounting brackets on the bottom rear of the airdam connected to the lower lip edge of the valence(it maybe #4).....
hope this helps,i'm away from home,i can take pics of my front spoiler and the holes of the valence where all the clips are attached....Last edited by vr4boy; 05-28-2007, 08:02 PM.Leave a comment:
