    Fender roller in CT?

Hey guys i just payed for a set of rims and the et is 13. Im also doing some body work on my car so i figured now is a perfect time to roll my fenders, just so i wont have to do it later.

Let me know. Im in Oxford ct but im willing to drive to go pick a roler up.

    Thanks so much

    Chris

fender rollers are hard to come by.

Don't you have any wheel and tire shops or even bodyshops in your area that rolls fenders? I didn't feel like renting one so I paid a shop to roll mine for $40 a fender. I ended up needing more clearance so I used a wooden bat, worked great.

Hmm. i talked to THE dude at THE "body supply place". He said no one rents them around here and theyre expensive which i knew. Id rather not pay someone because my car isnt in a driveable state at the moment. And i want to get the fenders rolled before it gets painted. We'll see.

      Whats the bat method?

I used a floor jack, louisville slugger and a heat gun. I raised the car up just enough to fit the bat in between the tire and the fender, slowly lower until the bat makes contact and puts pressure on the fender, then I twisted the bat in each direction, also angled the bat downward to flatten the lip further.

If you're doing bodywork, I'm assuming you don't care about the paint right now so that makes it even easier for you not to fuck up with the bat method.

What wheels did you get, e21 fitment?

yeah thats why i wanted to do it now. So im not worried about the paint.

The wheels are 15x7 et 13 the dude said he got them from a e21 guy. Then he had them refinished. Silver centers and polished lips.

          Heres a pic:

          Pretty excited either way

Me and a couple of my old Focus buddies used the bat method on our foci as well... works good, especially if you dont need to worry about the paint, rollers are overrated!

Damn homie. thanks for the links. Wonder if you could do this with the bmw jack.....

It looks like a better method than the baseball method. These rear fenders are beefy!
