I don't have any picts because I don't have the part...lol. I can see where it used to attach to the wheel well liners and cover the front side of the engine.

        FYI...

If you look down into your engine compartment, this piece should be seen under the radiator and below the fan shroud, etc. extending back to the engine...I would assume...it does on my 325ic.

It is in Vehicle Trim | Insulation in the ETK. That's why it's so hard to find!

          Pelican has it for $98.

I have the part number, but it is at home, so I won't be able to get it until this afternoon. It's in an odd place in RealOEM, and the diagram doesn't really look like the cover. But it is there, I found it year before last...

EDIT: Fred beat me to it... But I only paid like $70-something from BMA for it.

Yeah if you can get it from BMA for $70 something, you're not doin' too bad. Junkyards almost never have this part in my area. :(

That part number is correct for my 1991 318is, and it was just shy of $78 in December of 2005 when I bought it from BMA.

Similar, but I believe it is different since the oil pans are different.

Good idea but the mounting points would be an issue. I'll have to double check, but I don't think it mounts to anything solid, just the fender wells and I guess the core support. I don't know...I'll be under there tonight though. Something out of aluminum would be sweet.
